Of course I'm sure being in CA or NY the cost of living is so much greater the prices would be comparable. Eastern Wa is a good place because its not super expensive. I had a call in for a date with him and then I decided the Spain thing would save me money and I found I was brave enough to do it!!! Dr. Heap is a very sharp guy...great wit too..LOL That British thing really cracked me up...he's just what I expected...LOL ~~* AJ *~~ Post op 7/24/01 Open BPD/DS self pay - Dr Baltasar -Alcoy Spain 07/24/01 BMI 64 - 415.1 08/06/01 BMI 59 - 390.2 -24.9 lbs!!!!!!!!!!~~~~ 08/16/01 BMI 58 - 387.0 -27.9 lbs!!!!!!!!!!~~~~ Check out the Bellingham Support Group and my personal page at WWW.WLSBellingham.homestead.com
Guest guest
Hello, I'd like to chime in. Dr. Heap (an excellent surgeon) only charges around $4300 for the DS surgery (Washington State). If you pay cash he will give a 10% discount. I had surgery 8 weeks ago and only had to pay him about $3850. Now, the hospital costs were enormous (don't get me started!). Dr. Heap also charged a little over $1,000 for 2 additional surgeries (removing my gall bladder and removing a tumor found on my intestines during my surgery). But I still am amazed he charges such reasonable prices after hearing how much other surgeons charge.
