I would like to hear from anyone that had IBS OR any other type of illness or

sensitivity that gave them alot of diarrhea as a pre-op. Surgery is just

around the corner and my stomach has been terribly upset. For once I don't

think it is my normal horrid stomach but either a virus or from the Cinobac I

was put on to prevent UTI's by a urologist. Please tell me how you are doing

with your BM's after surgery. I know diarrhea is to be expected at first but

honestly, if I am going to lose my quality of life from always being tied to

a toilet, I'd rather have the RNY. Please forgive my panic but surgery is

practically here!

I have/had IBS before surgery. I'm 4 weeks out tomorrow (Tue) and I do have

diarrhea now but only a couple times a day....I just got some meds for it but

I can say its already starting to get a bit better...I think its just the way

to getting your body tuned again after all the changes.

You could ask for a mild anti anxiety agent--like xanax to make you calmer.

Amy used it for the plane ride to Spain.

Hope it helps!

I had IBS before surgery I asked Dr. Macura about it. He wasnt concerned. My
