If you go to the March of Dimes website-they quote clubfoot as " one

of the most common birthdefects " affecting up to 5k babies. Downs

syndrome affects only 800 to 1000 births a year.

Hope this helps!

My daughter's doctor said that once you have child with clubfoot,

the statistic jumps from 1 in 1000 to 1 in 32 for all subsequent

births! I have not seen this in writing and cannot validate it, but

it's worth looking into.

Clubfoot statistics

A few people have mentioned that clubfoot is more common than Downs

Syndrome/ cleft palate - would anyone have a reference for this? I am

writing a 'clubfoot pitch' for something here and would like to use that

statistic but want to make sure first where it originated from.

Thanks so much!
