I love the B & W wedding portrait of you.....How > did you come to call , Grimm? I like that name! > You will celebrate your first anniversary a month after my 38th! Well, Grimm came up with it.. he tells a ton of stories to cover it, but it basically was this... hates his name. Hates Mike.. despises Mikey. During his first year in college, he joined the Society for Creative Anachronism (the Renaissance fair folk). You choose a " society name " that is supposed to be period-authentic.. his was Grimm the Forgotten. Then in the Navy, every other sailor was a , so he kept Grimm.. When he met my mom's neighbor, he told him that it was because he looked " grim " all the time. The story evolves, but the name stays, lol.. That same neighbor saw us a few days before our wedding, & he told Grimm that his name doesn't fit anymore.. and suggested " Grin " ...cuz he says Grimmie smiles a lot more now. =) I loooved that dress.. it was not even my original dress.. I was having one made.. but 10 days before my wedding.. the seamstress called to say that her granddaughter had umm... " altered " my dress with a pair of pinking shears... I was frantic.. as not many bridal shopped a) carry my size, and will do rush jobs like this one. But the shoppe owner promised, and came through.. and I love the second dress more so than the first one! The photographer was a friend of ours- he worked with Grimm at the time, and he really did an outstanding job.. We had talked about B & W photos, because Grimm, being a photographer, LOVES B & W. So Jeff brought 3 cameras, one of which was a medium format camera loaded with B & W film. Fall is a great time to marry, eh?? Happy anniversary early! I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures =) Hugs, Liane

Guest guest
Liane, Interesting story behind the name Grimm....I like it though. Maybe he can now be " the grinning grimm " ?? Your dress is so pretty.....absolutly stunning! Sounds like a miracle dress to me after that tyke got ahold of the sheers! I have a black and white taken of me in my dress back in 1964 and another one in color.....the b & w is by far the best! (colors back then were oils and not pictures!) Fall is a wonderful time to get married as well as spring when everything is being reborn......can not believe in 2 more years i will make the 40 yr mark! Where has the time gone? Hugs, Judie PS your check went out today so you should get it before friday

Guest guest
ROTFL!!! Someone said to him the other day, " Your wife is quite striking; what will you be doing when strange men start showing her attention? " He smiled, and said " Yes.. striking them is exactly what I'll do! " <this is funny only because my sweet hubby is very nonconfrontational & might verbally tell someone off, but hitting them???? not in this lifetime!! Hugs, Liane =) > > > Ohhhhhh Liane!
