Guest guest
Well I posted a couple days ago that my son was back into the DBB after being casted by Dr. P. at 14 months. He had gotten blisters within 30 hours of having shoes on. He seemed to be fine until yesterday. He has now cried uncontrolably for 24 hours. It is 4 am and still crying. I am at my wits end. I just want to take those awfull shoes off and let him sleep. (I have not taken them off for more than the 1 hour a day) I feel so bad that there is nothing I can do to make him comfortable. I took him to bed with me, tried to rock him, gave him a bottle (had him off except right before bed). I just don't know what else to do. I think Dr. P needs to see him like this and change something. This week we are really short on $$, but might just have to go. Wanted to know if P/M's make a big difference? I was so happy this time because he keeps the shoes on and can not get them off. I took him to ped. just to make sure there wasn't ear infection and everything was good there. I just feel so bad for him. Going to go get him out of bed and try to hold him for awhile. Thanks for letting me ramble Tabitha mom to Karter 7-30-

Guest guest
, Yes, He has blisters. A large one on right heel. Is red about size of 50cent piece with a white center. On the left foot under where the strap goes it was purple, but now is open area. All skin that was purple came off in the bath last night. That on is about a inch long and 1/4 inch wide. Called and talked to today and she gave us some more ideas. They want these to heal, but said it would take about a week. We will see. If not gone by Monday we need to make an appt. for next week. I don't know if I can handle that many more nights like last night. One good thing is we can go down to 20 hours in shoes instead of 23. Not much difference, but maybe it will help the blisters. Guest guest
Tabitha, The DBB dont even compare to the P/M! It was like night and day when I got them! My daughter HATED those DBB and so did I! SHe did great, and continues to do wonderfully wiht the P/M! I LOVE THEM! They are worth the out of pocket $. But make sure to ask Jean for an insurance code (I believe it L999), and take a prescription to the nearest Orthotic/Prostetic shop, and they can usually get your insurance to pay for them! Guest guest
Tabitha, the shoes made ALL the difference in the world for us 2 years ago when my Everett cried non-stop because of his shoes hurting him. s.
