If so, do you take Lactaid (lactase enzyme)? Try either cutting out the mill and ice cream (yogurt and cheeses are OK) and see if that helps. you may be lactose intolerant. I was at first, and then I thought that I had adapted and was no longer, so I want back to drinking milk. Bad choice! I had terrible oily discharges and cramping from gas all over again and didn't know why it was happening. Just on a hunch, I went off milk, and it cleared right up. Now, I am on Lactaid milk (milk pre-treated with lactase enzyme), and things are better. Guest guest
Steve, thank you so much for your suggestion and taking the time to write back. Unfortunately (in some ways), no, this is not my problem. I'm not eating any ice cream or drinking milk or eating much in the way of cheeses. Just some fat-free yogurt and cottage cheese. Thanks again! - SC, battling on with a most disgusting and frustrating problem ----- Original Message ----- > >What I've found hardest for me to deal with are *fats.* My malabsorption of > >them has lead to flatus with a disgusting oily discharge that is NOT going > >away, darn it, and is REALLY cramping my lifestyle! Guest guest
The fibercon has fiber--but it also has a large amt of calcium which also has a " slowing effect " on the bowels.
