GH deficiency question

Fairly new here, been lurking and learning. Have a question. I have

recently been diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency, and

understand this is not all that common or many go undiagnosed.

Anyone been diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency before

surgery? Did surgery clear up the problem or at least improve it?

I've never heard of human growth hormone deficiency in people who weren't

" little people. " My husband actually made human growth hormone when he

worked at Genentech...I'll ask him about it!

Hav you had growth hormone suppression or stimulation tests? If not,

then the etiology of your deficiency may not be known. Obviously if

you had this as child you'd know about it. But until the etiology

is known no one can really address the implications or treatment for

this.

Growth hormone is a protein that is secreted by the anterior

pituitary. I am struggling to figure out what relationship weight

loss might have with weight loss.
