Anyone with Cigna Hmo that was approved for DS?

My denial was upheld. Has anyone had any luck with Cigna HMO? Any

success stories would be appreciated!

Talk to Lee Ann Krause..she got Cigna HMO to approve hers. I think her

email is romanstenseventeen@... . I'm hoping to get Cigna PPO to

approve mine. Did they give you any explanation for the denial or upholding

the denial?

I had Cigna POS (Point-of-Service)insurance. Which is where you can

have Cigna as a HMO, but you have the option of going outside of your

network and choosing any doctor. I was approved with only having to

prove that I had been on a couple of medically supervised diets.

Basically they just wanted to make certain that I had attempted to

lose weight on my own.

have Cigna as a HMO, but you have the option of going outside of your

network and choosing any doctor. I was approved with only having to

prove that I had been on a couple of medically supervised diets.

Basically they just wanted to make certain that I had attempted to

Which medically-supervised diets did you give proof of? I'm trying to

track down my phen/fen proof since the doc has since retired and I don't

even remember exactly where his office was. Other than that, I've been on

programs like Nutri/System and WW and TOPS, but no medically-supervised ones

('cept phen/fen). Do you think this will be a problem? Should I have my

PCP put me on Meridia or something now so I can show that it won't work?

Can you get pharmacy records for the phen/fen? It had to be

filled somewhere...

The pharmacy was sold to Rite Aid...who k nows if I can get decent info from

them?? I'm goign to try that, too, though!
