Hi ,

Thanks for your kind words. I'm doing great now, I don't know why it

all of a sudden hit me so hard. I figure this is my special time

with , especially since we've had her for less than a year.

She's such a sweet and fun little that she makes this easy for

me. I really enjoy the time I get with her as her mommy. I miss you

all and I treasure the friendship we've made. Hope is doing

well. Take care!

Love,

Joyce

Hi! So good to hear from you. I was wondering how you guys were doing.

also gets his cast off next Wednesday. We have the shoes already and yes I am so

nervous. At least in cast I know we are in good shape out of the cast, anything

could happen. We are set to go back in December on the 28th. I might consider

Dr. Dobbs at a later time but as long as Dr. Ponseti is still around I would

like to continue with him. Also depends on finances too. I would love to stay

in touch with you since our boys are the same age.

Feel free to email me directly at amakared@.... Send pics so I can see

your little man growing.

GlacierHi All,

We made it back from our check ups in Iowa. Joyce, I'm sorry I didn't find you

at the RMD house :( I was looking forward to visiting.

Everrett's check up was 5-Star, naturally. Ponseti was very pleased with his

progress and said another year in the FAB. I told him I'd been hearing it was

prescribed for 4 years more often now and he said yes, but Everett's feet are so

good right now he may get away with 3. I said, " We'll discuss it again when

he's 3 " , haha. I still lean towards 4, better safe than sorry.

As for , Dr. Dietz said 's big toes beat anything he has ever seen and

he has no explanation nor suggestion to repair the way they want to flop over

towards each other so drastically. He said he doubted the shoe-insert things

would be of any help becasue regardless of his toes, he does have good arches. I

didn't think so but Dietz pointed it out to me. They say he has 5% flex in his

heel (compared to Everett's being a litttle more than average/normal). He

said being knock-kneed is also typical of a boy his age - but has been

knock-kneed all his life. I just don't get it, but maybe I'm just expecting too

much and went with high hopes they'd have it figured out by now how to do

something more pro-active than " Wait and see " . I'm just frustrated.

Everyone here at home seems to think is getting more worse than better yet

the doctors, including Dr. Ponseti all tell me he is normal and fine. The

frustration is that it doesn't get any better than Dr. Ponseti, kwim? There's

not anyone who would know more than him at this point so I have to belive him.

On a brighter note there wre several other dr's there training. Ponseti told

them it was parents like me who would make believers out of others - having one

child treated " outside " and one treated " inside " with the obvious difference in

their out come. He was happy to hear I stay involved on this group.

Sorry this is so long, hope everyone is well.

Sure I'll try to get some photos to you. I remember your son - and you,

you were one of the driving forces that got us to Iowa in the first place.

I wish we'd have had a chance to get together while you were here, maybe

next time. I'm glad to hear Everrett's feet are looking so good.

That's what we all strive for. It is a real disappointment to hear

there's not much they think they can do for though. Out of

curiosity, do you have some pictures of 's feet that you can email

me privately? I know I joined CFPics right after it started, but I have

had it on no mail since my pregnancy with since he rules my life

and doesn't allow me much internet time - still. I'd like to see what

his feet look like compared to Jakob's since they are close to the same

age. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with the knock-kneed thing

though. I think Jakob looks quite knock-kneed myself. He's got these

huge thighs and quite knobby knees, then fairly small calves. it

doesn't seem to bother him at all though.

Hey ee, welcome back! Glad to hear that Everett's check was

wonderful and I think it is promising if Dr. P thinks that looks

good too. As you said, you can't get any better of an opinion.

pleased with his progress and said another year in the FAB. I told

him I'd been hearing it was prescribed for 4 years more often now and

he said yes, but Everett's feet are so good right now he may get away

with 3. I said, " We'll discuss it again when he's 3 " , haha. I still

lean towards 4, better safe than sorry.

ever seen and he has no explanation nor suggestion to repair the way

they want to flop over towards each other so drastically. He said he

doubted the shoe-insert things would be of any help becasue regardless

of his toes, he does have good arches. I didn't think so but Dietz

pointed it out to me. They say he has 5% flex in his heel (compared

to Everett's being a litttle more than average/normal). He said

being knock-kneed is also typical of a boy his age - but has

been knock-kneed all his life. I just don't get it, but maybe I'm

just expecting too much and went with high hopes they'd have it

figured out by now how to do something more pro-active than " Wait and

see " . I'm just frustrated. Everyone here at home seems to think

is getting more worse than better yet the doctors, including Dr.

Ponseti all tell me he is normal and fine. The frustration is that

it doesn't get any better than Dr. Ponseti, kwim? There's not anyone

who would know more than him at this point so I have to belive him.

Ponseti told them it was parents like me who would make believers out

of others - having one child treated " outside " and one treated

" inside " with the obvious difference in their out come. He was happy

to hear I stay involved on this group.

Hey, ee,

Just wanted to say that I'm glad you're back safe and

sound. I can bet it's hard to be reassured that everything's

ok with (even by Dr. P.) when those of you who see

him daily disagree. Sending a prayer your way for peace

of mind ...

Glad to hear that Everett's still getting glowing marks.

And hope you & their new sibling-on-the-way are doing

well.
