Guest guest
Hi all, Just had to chime in about the sleep sacks. Last winter slept in the sleep bags with the arms. They were great but I found that her legs got cold and she still needed pajamas on, which is what the sacks are designed for. I also used them when she was in her casts and this was great. Just put her in a onesie, then the bag, and of course her legs didn't get cold. Can't do that with the sleep sack. Problem is the sleep bags don't go very large. They seem to be one size fits 0-9 months. I believe I still have a bunch of them (don't think they all sold at my last yard sale) If anyone with a new baby or anyone who thinks they would fit their baby girl this winter would like to have a bunch of the sleep bags, feel free to email me and I will send them to you. They were so expensive and I hate to sell them at a yard sale when I could give them to another little baby who really needs them!!! I went to Burlington Coat factory and got a Halo sleep sack today since when woke up this morning I noticed her legs were like ice cubes. It's not even cold yet!!! The largest size they had was a medium, which fits her at 11 months with 2-3 inches left on the bottom. I am thrilled to know that they do go up to an XL, so she should be in them for quite a while!! They had another brand but it was quite a bit narrower and I was afraid the FAB wouldn't fit in it. She's sleeping in it right now and I hope she will be toasty tonight, as it is rainy and getting cold here in NY. I have to agree that they are an essential for our babies. It is truly impossible to keep the blankets on them when they have the FAB. Like so many others, sleeps on her side with a leg sticking straight up, so the first time she rolls or moves the blankets go off. As I said, if you are just starting the FAB and have a girl, contact me via email and I will mail you as many sleep bags as I have. Guest guest
That is really sweet of you Donna!! I had a thought that I would cut Grace's sleepsac in half, right below the zipper and add a 2 inch wide piece of pink elastic to make hers longer. She is still in her sleepsac from last winter but it could be a couple of inches longer for sure. I am no seamstress by any means lol but I do have a machine. I have been meaning to tackle making one myself but thought this would be much easier in the mean time. & Grace > > Hi all, > > Just had to chime in about the sleep sacks. Guest guest
What a great idea! I have cut the feet off of clothes for almost a year now, why not add extra material on the bottom of something? > > > > Hi all, > > > > Just had to chime in about the sleep sacks. Guest guest
I suppose it depends on how long she is. Wow! Big girl! is by no means tiny (she was 9lbs 6oz at birth), but she only weighs 19 pounds now at 11 1/2 months. 16 pounds!! I can check and see how well they fit now and go from there. I know she is just too long now, I'm not sure about the girth! I'll let you know. Let me know her length. > Hi all, > > Just had to chime in about the sleep sacks.
