My wife should be giving birth any day now. The ultrasound indicated

that the baby will have clubfoot. We are thinking about using either

Dr. Scher or Dr. Lehman in New York City, since we live in norther New

Jersey. If anyone has any experience with either doctor -- good or

bad, I would appreciate your feedback. Picking a doctor has been a

very difficult decision for us. I can be reached by email at

hersh222@... or by phone . Thanks. Larry.

Larry,

I just wanted to say congratulations on the upcoming birth of your

child and welcome to the group! Please be assured that in the proper

hands, your child's foot (or feet) will be corrected in no time.

I don't know how much help I can be for choosing your doctor, both

Drs. Scher and Lehman are on Dr. Ponseti's list of physician's

qualified in the method. You can find the list here if you haven't

already seen it.

http://www.vh.org/pediatric/patient/orthopaedics/clubfeet/physicians.html

There is also a wealth of knowledge on the Ponseti treatment for

clubfoot on the University of Iowa's website:

http://www.vh.org/pediatric/patient/orthopaedics/clubfeet/index.html

I believe there are some parents here whose children are treated by

both doctors and am sure you will hear from some of them with

suggestions or comments that will help you choose.

Congrats again!
