I don't appreicate you suggesting I'm prejudice against blacks either...that wasn't even the context of my original message...I think you completely read it wrong. Sorry if you find it offensive to dislike a style of dressing >> AJ: I don't think Donna was saying you are prejudiced against Blacks... she just said if one put a more recognizable group who are prejudiced against in the statement, it may seem more apparently biased. I don't think you meant it to biased in any way but when you say 'those MO people who..' it *could* be misinterpreted as if you had certain standards for thinner people and MO people are too physically unattractive, etc. to wear revealing clothing, etc. and must 'cover up'. At least, this is what I think Donna interpreted your opinions as saying... I think it's good you clarified that you don't like this style of dressing, no matter who is doing it. I hope Donna responds but I certainly wouldn't slight you for having opinions about dressing style. all the best, Noverr-Chin co-moderator lap ds with gallbladder removal january 25, 2001 six months post-op and still feelin' fabu! preop: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: 224 (yahoo!) Guest guest
Someone tell me, why do I bother posting here when people are SO CLUELESS?!?!?!? Please read my post again. You didn't understand it in the least. In your original note you said, point blank, " Am I being prejudice? I suppose... " Now I have an " attitude " because I agreed with you. Explain THAT to me! I never said you are prejudice against black people or people who " dress different. " I said you were prejudice against MO people, because you say they shouldn't dress a certain way because you have (haha) more " class. " I stated if you compartmentalize MO people the way racists do black people, you are prejudice. NOW, if you have anything futher to argue, email me and I'll TRY to read it. I feel myself getting dumbing by the minute trying to explain this to you. Donna > >> > > > > > >
Guest guest
The only way someone could confused " Donna Joostema " with " Donnabert " is if they were stupid. Wait, I see your point... I should have read the list and seen the vicious posts that ensued ---- Sorry that AJ had to experience this. I don't think your original post was offensive, AJ and I thought this was a slight misunderstanding that could get cleared up when you further explained your point of view -- Guess that is nearly impossible with some people. Anyway, just wanted to say that hopefully all this is over and cleared up! all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001
Guest guest
Well ... ya know .... I would like to take a shot at this one. I really don't know why you post to this group, either at this point, because it seems to me that your problem is not obesity, but more that you are an ass- hole. I don't think that WLS is going to fix that for you. Might I suggest you find another outlet for yourself ... maybe one where those who read your posts are ... let's say ... masochists, instead of obese people trying to support one another. Your posts are rude, ignorant, and of no value here. Take it off-line and quit wasting our time and ruining the intention of this forum for those of us who take it seriously. Donna .... Donna Joostema, that is ... Guest guest
I have taken this matter to private email to remind people of the list rule against personal attacks. Please, no more public back-and-forth on this one. Thanks. Guest guest
I find no reason to be rude to me or treat me as if I'm stupid. I've never posted anything here that isn't nice or friendly. I thought about my original post after I wrote it because I wondered if I am being prejudiced against other MO people and I think its not that I'm prejudiced against MO people...geezzz I'm a huge one...I have absolutely no room to judge the next person....but I do have prejudice against skimpy clothing...and as I stated in all my posts...its not MO only...its anyone. Maybe its all come out wrong.... I did not mean to offend anyone with any of my posts nor did I feel it necessary to be rather disrespectful. Point dropped AJ " Donna " wrote: >Someone tell me, why do I bother posting here when people are SO >CLUELESS?!?!?!? > >Please read my post again.
