Take a slice of fresh fois gras (costs the earth), sear it for just a few seconds at a very high heat on both sides, serve on some salad greens, or thin sliced pears, with a little sweet sauce (fig or cherry)drizzled on the plate. Wonderful, totally decadent, once a year treat. I made this for a New Year's eve dinner appetiser!
