Guest guest
Kelsey went to the orthotist yesterday and got new Markells and a new bar. My little one is growing. I have one question though - This orthotist gave us a gold bar instead of the red one that we had previously and it does not have the same curve to it. Is this normal with that bar? Since we moved up a bar and shoes, we have an 8 inch red fillauer bar and a pair of size 2 1/2 M Markell shoes for anyone who wants them. If you pay the postage, you can have them. The shoes have been worn for a while but they are still in pretty good condition. Let me know if anyone can use them and I will be happy to pass them on. The shoes were originally worn by Kori's daughter Darbi and she graciously passed them on to us so I would like to return the favor. Jenni- Mom to (10/31/01) and Kelsey (11/7/03)happy girl in DBB nights only for left clubfoot. __________________________________ Yahoo! Guest guest
Jenni, The gold bar should be bent too. Sometimes the gold bar is bent with a curve in the middle and sometimes 2 small bends at either end. It must be bent to maintain the dorsiflexion. If your orthotist will not do it for you (or if it is inconvenient to go back to them), you can bend it yourself. I've never done this personally but I know Kori or someone can tell you exactly how to do it. HTH, > > Kelsey went to the orthotist yesterday and got new > Markells and a new bar.
