Guest guest
Hi and thanks to the responses regarding Markell shoes. Our son currently needs a 4 or 4 1/2, or even a 5, for his next visit in a two weeks. If you have shoes you are willing to part with that have life left (especially the strap) we would love to have them. Email me at sherriroberti@... and I will be happy to pay for packaging and postage. Our treating Dr. is Dr. Colburn who practices out of Kaiser in Walnut Creek and Pleasanton. He does see clients from outside of Kaiser as we no longer have Kaiser. He is on Dr. Ponsetti's list and treating babies with clubfeet is his true specialty and one he is very passionate about. His knowledge and expertise on this method has made having a surprise clubfoot baby much easier. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. We will be forever grateful that he was there for us and that we " fell " into his hands. Especially after reading about other parents experiences that have been less than ideal. Joey was casted at one day and has had pretty much a textbook experience. He is 20 months and wears his FAB 12-14 hours per day. I now he will be in the bar to at least 4 but that's o.k.!!!! His feet are perfect!!! Thanks and good luck to all. Sherri --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
Sherri, Dr Colburn is an amazing doctor! How lucky for you that you got to start treatment with him right away. I know of many families from all over CA and Nevada who have traveled to see him after receiving poor treatment elsewhere. As far as shoes go, your son must be about the same size as mine. He is just now outgrowing his size 3 Markells. Sorry we can't help you with that. You should not have any trouble finding a store in the Bay area to order Markells for you though. I know of several stores right in SF, I can give you contact information if you need it. Many parents have had luck getting various insurance companies to pay for the shoes and bar on appeals and so on. It takes a little effort, but it usually works out. Also, if you have a broken strap on your shoes, you can call the Markell shoe company and they will mail you a new one. Then you can just take the shoes to a repair shop where they can sew it on for you. Good luck! We wish you continued success.
