Guest guest
Thanks Steve I will it is alot more prophetable for them to do the banding they get paid more it, doesn't take as long they have to do allot more subsequent work with you, adjusting the band with saline and if you have that you need to a psychiatric test too which you don't need with the BPD/DS. so they push the band like it's the best thing since sliced bread. But there is no way: I know about 20 people who have had that and they have all needed a review.I think it is gross having a port on the outside of your body because I have to feed Ken my disabled son through one everyday and I cannot help but realize the long term implications of having one of those, and being reliant on the dr to fill it and adjust it all the time. I sort of think of it is a less permanent solution and also things like it slipping and disintegrating and having to have the op repeated in 10 years time where as the DPB/DS is complete and you don't rely on anybody. another reason the band is probably more prophrtable is that you have to see a shrink before you have it which you don't have to do with DPB/DS love from auzzie mate Rach
