Guest guest
Speaking of athelete's foot, Kori, what was that tea tree mixture you use? WE ordered some tea tree oil... You're right it's pretty pricey, but if it keeps this stuff away, it'll be worth every penny. frogabog wrote:100% cotton has no elasticity... I doubt they're even available. Especially for babies. The Old Navy socks with the grippers on the bottom are what we use, we love them. They're 7 for $10 and have lots of colors to choose from. They aren't 100% cotton however, but like I said if they were they wouldn't be of much use anyway. They'd just fall down. You want a sock with a nice tight weave. Loosely woven socks make those sock impressions on the tops of their feet (we've all experienced this with socks I'm sure) and don't feel good at all. Every time I use that kind of sock on Darbi she tells me her feet hurt and when I take them off I can see the impressions. Baby Gap and Gymboree also make nice gripper socks with tight weave. I think however the old navy ones are the cheapest of this variety. I have spent $40 total on socks for Darbi this whole time (she's 2.5yo) and she's actually able to wear her 0-6mo socks still in her shoes (although not with regular shoes, they don't fit well for that - fall down - too small). I don't think one really *needs* 14 pairs of socks at a time but I've found that with baby socks... they get lost in the wash a lot and since she's a girl I wanted lots of colors to choose from. So I spent $20 both times just because I wanted to. Still, in 2.5y... not bad cost wise. Guest guest
I just put a few drops into a blob of vaseline. ummm... maybe like 4-6 drops in a tablespoon? might be too much, I don't remember exactly how I made it. It can't really hurt to put more in either, it should smell pretty strong. Darbi has funky toes now too. poor thing... I used daddy's super strong stuff on her the other night. I need to make some tea tree balm myself. It'll last a long time, a drop goes a long way.
