Guest guest
Sherry... Please wait till all your tests are done before you choose. You could have a bacterial infection, some other intestinal thing...who knows. I think you need to find out that before you make any final decisions. I've heard of people finding out they have a parasite...its possible! I have IBS, and I'm on week 4...I've told you how things are going and I'm very happy so far. I am seeing things get more and more regular and I'm noticing when I'm stressed I dont suddenly have to go run to the bathroom. I hope things are okay and you find out the problem....but please wait and see...I hate to see you " settle " because you're afraid of the outcome with the DS. I respect your final decision but I hope you wait and see what all is going on before you decide! best wishes aJ

Guest guest
First I want to think all of you for your support. Your letters of concern and encouragement really touched my heart and I needed that so much yesterday. I was just too depressed to write back. I went to the GI today. Since I can't get an IV without a central line he doesn't want to do invasive testing. He truly believes after everything that I've told him that I do have IBS but also have complications due to my diseased gallbladder, badly irritated duodenum and gerd. He put me on a different medication to slow down my bowels and we will see how that works. I also want to try and make an appointment with the psychiatrist that did my evaluation. I've been having alot of anxiety which is to be expected but I can't release it and it is literally eating me from the inside out. FYI, I am still have bowel problems so it was not just stress. I still feel that I would be more comfortable with the RNY. I was in the bathroom and literally in tears from the pain and am still not willing to risk it. I know there is some diarrhea to be expected with the RNY too but not nearly as bad. Even the distal. I was told it is a totally different hook-up.
