Guest guest
Hi! Welcome to the group! So, does your son actually have clubfoot, or just in-toeing? If he does have CF, what kind of treatment/bracing has he had? Did your doctor re-cast him prior to putting him in the brace? It might be uncomfortable for him otherwise! Hopefully we can help you if we know a bit more! Who is his doctor? If he was treated for clubfoot and left unbraced- it is very likely that he's experiencing a relapse now, not just in-toeing. It's common for relapses at 2-3 years old. We're glad you're here! There's lots of info in the files and links sections that may help too! Oh, and does he communicate well with you yet, or is his speech pretty limited yet? That may make a difference on how easy it will be for you to work with him on getting him to wear the brace. Guest guest
Sorry for the delayed response... its been a tough week. His doctor is Dr Bell at BC's Childrens hosp. Not too happy with him as this was an 'ohhhhhh I'm sorry.. he IS going to be braced after all'.... but anway... He wasn't diaganosed with CB.. But I was born with it myself, and his feet visably turned in previous to the shoes and walking. He's been wearing the shoes since 12 months. When we noticed he was struggling to walk. To this day he walks as if he learned how to, just yesterday. Communication?... Little to none unfortuantly.. Thus the hard week. We're getting through it. Slowly. jennyandkelly wrote: Hi!
