Guest guest
Yea !! This is such a huge milestone! As I wrote to Bonny, Kori's tips and tricks were invaluable to us when we started with the shoes!! Make sure you give that a good read and should be fine. The main thing is to make sure the heel is down and to make sure they are tight tight tight. HTH, let us know how it goes. & Grace > > HI > We just got our son's last cast off! > He had one club foot and is being treated by Dr. Ponseti > We have in the shoes with the bar. > We could really use some help and support to make him more > comfortable! Guest guest
Congratulations! in the files folder-there is a file called FAB tips/tricks, when opening it, look for the PDF file. Its a work in progress but extremely helpful. Quick advice-play with your child in his brace/boots. Show him how he can move his legs together-lift them up and down for him. Since the casts allowed him to move his legs independently, he may need to be shown how to do this. Make the shoes part of a ritual-eventually you will be put to naps/nights, then nights only after the 23 hour period. I always gave my son his 1 hour freedom prior to bedtime so that now(he wears them only at night)-he knows when pjs are on, so are the shoes. Check out the file though-it's really helpful! take care, kathleen mom to david bcf fab 12.7 > > HI > We just got our son's last cast off! > He had one club foot and is being treated by Dr. Ponseti > We have in the shoes with the bar. > We could really use some help and support to make him more > comfortable!
