It's great to hear you're home and your surgery went so well. Sip your water as much as you can and remember to walk whenever possible. One day, I'll meet you on other side too...

Lilka's progress - UPDATE 2

Dear Friends,Only twenty-four hours after her surgery, Lilka was in good enough shape to be discharged from Kaiser. I brought her home about an hour ago. She is almost pain-free, except when she "coughs or burps" (her words). She is sleeping, so please do not call. Oh, yes, she is "happy to be alive…" During her ride home she told me she could see all of your faces in her mind – all the people who love her… It was really sweet the way she said it. Tom, thanks for the update. I am so glad that she is

home where she can finally get some rest. Make sure

she sip sip sip away and to take little short walks

around her house or maybe if she feels up to it maybe

down the street. Tell Lilka that I said welcome to

the other side and that I wish her well.
