Last night Zipporrah's heart rate was up to 198 while sleeping! She has been battling a temperature as well and lethargy. Asenath began going downhill today as well sleeping most of the day, having a temp of 103 degrees, having apnea tonight tons, and her heart rate is raising as well. I am pushing the fluids and hoping the girls get through it quickly without a hospital stay. Zipporrah never seems to be without a virus and it seemed that once we stopped her iron supplement last week she immediately went downhill with this virus and then it started spreading to the rest of the family. I will keep you posted. I am hoping we can keep the new member of the household free from the virus as he just had brain surgery to revise his shunt and then his twin sister arrives on Sunday. I hope we don't give it to her either! Praying for calm waters this way. Guest guest
Hey Darla, You really have your hands full. I pray the best for your family, and especially Asenath and Zipporah. If we lived closer, I would love to give you a hand. Keep looking up for strength. JoniDarla Klein wrote: Please pray for our girls as both are really struggling with a virus presently. Guest guest
Yes, the addition was a surprise to us as well. We received a phone call two weeks ago from our local Department of Human Services asking if we were open to adopting twin 13 month olds. We were very hesitant and almost said no, but after really talking about it and spending lots of time in prayer and research on Joey's condition, we felt it was the right thing to do, SO Joey came home from the hospital on last Tuesday and arrived this morning. It will be an interesting transitional phase here in our home for a while as the little ones get used to living in a new place and we hope we are able to help them adjust quickly. In a perfect world, their parents could have cared for them, but sadly, there are so many children needing homes; specially special needs kids like Joey. I thought you might like to see a photo of them so see the attachment. Hope you are doing well. Let me know what's been up sometime when you get the chance.
