YAY Lucas! I'm so jazzed for him! Way to Go!! Didn't I tell you it was

addictive? By the time he is a junior or senior he will be a well oiled

machine! Last year Joee had his shoulder really messed up in wrestling,

and Kaiser tool they all too sweet time about surgery. Seven months of

absolute misdiagnosis and delay. He had surgery in July and was told it

would not be a good idea to wrestle ever again. But when wrestle season

came the bug had bitten. Thank the heavens that the surgeon who did his

surgery did a fantastic job and he has had no problems. It sounds

foolish to anyone who hasn't been in this position, but wrestling gives

young men such a feeling of worth, fun, acomplishment and self esteem.

Nobody is ever against you except the one guy on the mat and thats only

for 6 minutes in time. Boys must always be respectful and polite on and

off the mat. Unlike team sports, the athlete is the one who gets all

the glory and encouragement. In some team sports there are heros who

still get all the glory, but in wrestling its all about two athletes

working to win and that is so rewarding. In Joee's tournament Saturday

he took 4th, it was a 17 school individual meet. In one match he pinned

a girl, and when she wrestled next she sent that boy to the hospital!

(shoulder dislocated) . We always root for the girls unless they are

currently wrestling Joee, they are very scrappy!!!! Anyway, take care!

And congrats to LUCAS again!!!!
