cocktail side effects - diharrhea?

s been on the cocktail (CoQ10, carnitor, Vitamins B1,B2,C and

E) for almost a week now, and has had steadily worsening

diharrhea... its to the point now that its watery and VERY foul...

is this common?

hes not dehydrated at all, and doesnt seem bothered at all by it...

It could be the carnitor. If the dose is too high, it can cause loose

bowels and a " fishy " smell. Check with your doctor.

It could be the carnitor. If the dose is too high, it can cause loose

bowels and a " fishy " smell. Check with your doctor.

Hi there!

In re the cocktail causing loose stools...Abigail has the same issue with carnitor. Thus we can only dose her twice rather than three times a day. Talk to the doc, they will advise you. It is not at all uncommon to have loose stools...however it is important to let the dr. know.

Hi Keely,

Carnitor is the one that can cause diarrhea. You may want to try backing him

off it to see if it's the one that's causing the problem. My son can't take

carnitor because of the diarrhea it causes.

Vitamin C can cause diaharrea if you get more than your body is used

to.

We had that problem with carnitor at first, but things settled down

after a while. We still have the problem sometimes with CoQ10, but we

just skip a couple of doses, then start it up again.

We had that problem with carnitor at first, but things settled down

after a while. We still have the problem sometimes with CoQ10, but we

just skip a couple of doses, then start it up again.
