Guest guest
OK everyone. Karter's casts were taken off Wen. Morning. We made it 2 weeks and almost 2 days. He has been so happy! Crawling, standing, laughing. Was to my surprise when I gave him a bath lastnight to find large redish/purple area under strap on one foot and blister on the other. Spent 2 hours looking at old posts and finding what to do for this. He also had this problem a couple times with old Dr. and he always told us to leave the DBB off until healed. I think this is why we relapsed? I really do not want to take shoes off so close to the casts coming off and it doesn't seem to bother him at all. I currently have triple antibiotic ointment and bandaids on both areas. I plan on calling Dr. P today. When we where there he mentioned the 's, but thought we would try DBB with the foot being corrected properly first. This has been a long road for us and I feel like we are close to finding the end.(Even if he has to wear shoes for like another 3 years) I just want everything to go smoothly for him. He has never liked anyone to be near his feet and hopefully this will go away with time. We have been doing this for 14 month and just feel like I as a parent can not get it right. I just want him to have perfect feet and followed last Dr. to the T. Now started with the best and just going down the same road again and again. I will admit that Dr. P. is wonderful. He looked at Karter's feet as if they were gold. Sorry I am going on and on. Just wish we could figure out something that would work.
