Guest guest
Just wondering. I was recently told that I stand a high chance of having another child (esp. boy) with club foot since it is very common on both sides of my husbands families. It isn't a deterrant in any way...I still want more kids, club foot or no. But anyone else? Was anyone else even told this?

Guest guest
Poneti quotes 1 in 30 will have more, but if this seems high, his question to you would be " Do you intend to have 30 children? " I do know there are at least a few parents on these boards with more then one child with cf. masonsmomma04 wrote:Just wondering. Guest guest
I think the statistics are that there is a 25% chance of the child having clubfoot if one of the parents has clubfoot. I'm quoting this from memory, though, and it might not be exactly right- I think it's in the book intro from Dr. P's book (can be found in the files section) if you have time to look it up and read it. If you have a child with clubfoot, the odds are 1 in 30 for subsequent pregnancies, if there is no other family history. I don't know what the odds are if there is a family history, but neither parent has clubfoot, however....which appears to be the case with your family! > Just wondering.
