Guest guest
We had the same things happen and we were told it was OK... but I don't know at what point it isn't OK, if you know what I mean... The cast should be coming off soon if it is almost 3 weeks... that is what the normal procedure is, right? Hope all is well... wrote: sydney has her tenotomy almsot three weeks ago and now the heels of her casts are getting soft on her left foot! is this something that i need to contact dr dobbs about or just let it go because it is normal. Guest guest
My son had this happen a couple of times-luckily it was close to the date that we were getting a new cast put on. The next cast-the doctor reinforced the heel even more. I didn't think it was a big deal but you can always call his office-I have learned that the nurses can be most helpful and reassuring! Hope this helps, kathleen > sydney has her tenotomy almsot three weeks ago and now the heels of > her casts are getting soft on her left foot! is this something that i > need to contact dr dobbs about or just let it go because it is normal. > Someone please help me if it has happened to you > > amanda and syd

Guest guest
It's perfectly normal, however, I would probably go in to have the cast reenforced. They will just put some more plaster or maybe a strip or two of fiberglass to reenforce the heel. It happened to Gabe nearly every cast he ever got. wrote:sydney has her tenotomy almsot three weeks ago and now the heels of her casts are getting soft on her left foot! is this something that i need to contact dr dobbs about or just let it go because it is normal.
