TJ,

You really can't just go by the pounds lost by others. You should look at percentages. Then also remember that we are individuals not machines, these percentages are just averages, there is always a range to be considered.

Looking at your case, I'm just using rough numbers, I don't have a weight chart in front of me now.

I believe that at 5' 8 " your idea weight should be about 150 lbs or so. (You would know what you'll goal is and can do the exact numbers)

That means you started with an excess of 170 lbs(to round it out).

At 6 months you can expect a lose of 50%, so that would be 85 lbs. So it looks like you are right on target.

Hi EveryoneI am about 5'8 " started at 319.5. I always carried most of my weight in my hips/thighs until the past year and gained quite a bit of weight in my stomach (actually what happened was I went on a diet, lost about 30 lbs and when it came back in seemed to be all in the middle...weird isn't it). Does anyone fit my description and reached/close to your goal? If so what weight did you end up with and what size clothing? Did you require a tummy tuck or boob surgery? My DS was on 2/16/01. I have lost 80 lbs. Does this seem normal? I keep reading about ppl losing much more. I'll be 6 months post-op in August. If anyone feels like I should be losing at a faster rate
