Guest guest
You mention burritos in the Mission District. I love El Toro for their vegetarian one with whole beans. Wow. Maybe the meat is beyond you now and the vegetable one will appeal.

Yeah - if you mean El Toro on 17th & Valencia, that's my second favorite place. My fave place is La Tacqueria on Mission at 25th. They don't use rice there, and have a more limited variety of choices (no seafood, tofu, zuchinni, etc), but their meats are supreme and authentic. They use whole beans, too, and large chunks of fresh avocado. If you haven't tried it, please check it out. I first started going there in 1984, I believe. Thanks for the suggestion to go veg. However, I don't think the meat was the problem...I just think it's a taste change. The taste just didn't match my craving/memory. Oh, well - maybe that will change again later, who knows? - SC
