You mention burritos in the Mission District. I love El Toro for their

vegetarian one with whole beans. Wow. Maybe the meat is beyond you now

and the vegetable one will appeal.

Ahh, ! Another Mission burrito lover! Yeah - if you mean El Toro on

17th & Valencia, that's my second favorite place. My fave place is La

Tacqueria on Mission at 25th. They don't use rice there, and have a more

limited variety of choices (no seafood, tofu, zuchinni, etc), but their

meats are supreme and authentic. They use whole beans, too, and large chunks

of fresh avocado. If you haven't tried it, please check it out. I first

started going there in 1984, I believe.

Thanks for the suggestion to go veg. However, I don't think the meat was the

problem...I just think it's a taste change. The taste just didn't match my

craving/memory. Oh, well - maybe that will change again later, who knows?
