Guest guest
Hi Rose and all,Back from JH. News wasn't good. Will hopefully get cleared by the cardiologist and start IV remicade every 4 weeks. JH doctor told me I had this "bad". He is great in every way and said he will do everything he can to help me. Had a second echo of my heart while at JH...will get the report hopefully soon. Chest hurts and heart skips with almost every exertion so will not be on the computer much. Pred was increased yet again and that has helped some. Won't be able to be at the faith chat tomorrow...I'm really sorry. Blessings,BeckyRose wrote: Wow, the list has been awfully quiet lately. Guest guest
Hi Rose and the rest of my Sarc Family! I'm doing okay...had some more testing done recently since my symptoms have been worse and a few new ones have been thrown in the mix. I had a brain scan MRI and c-spine MRI and a chest x-ray. My neuro actually called me in person to answer my questions after he received the results from my tests. The sarc is no longer showing in my CNS...it is showing no more in my brain stem/brain and c-spine. However, it is now showing in my lungs for the first time, so he said it is in medicated remission in my CNS...good news. I guess the symptoms are something I'm just going to have to live with since they didn't disappear along with the neurosarc. He said my heart showed slightly enlarged on my chest x-ray, so there is a possibility I have cardiac sarc. I am going to see my PCP on Wednesday to talk to her about everything but the CNS sarc. I will probably be going in for an EKG and Echo to check for the cardiac sarc. We are keeping my meds the same at this time which are Pred 60mg/30mg/60mg, etc. and muscle relaxers (zzzzzzzzzz) for the neck and back pain. I am actually really surprised that I have neck and back pain that only started about a month and a half ago. I would think that with the sarc gone from my CNS I wouldn't have the neck and back pain...does anyone have any thoughts on this? I also received some great news on Friday...I have been approved by Social Security Disability!!! Yeah!!! I applied for it on March 9th and the Salt Lake City office had finally made a decision on my claim on September 5th, but lucky me...my claim was randomly chosen to be examined by the Federal office in Dever, so it was delayed a little longer. At least it was worth the wait!!! I am so glad I was approved the first go round and don't have to get attorneys involved. Okay...I think I have you all caught up. I will write more after I get more testing done thru my PCP. I haven't felt much like typing because the numbness and tingling has been at an all time extreme the last 2 or 3 weeks and worsens when I type. Love and hugs to all, in UT >> > Wow, the list has been awfully quiet lately. We'd sure like to hear from some of you, that you are okay, or need encouragement, prayers or whatever.
