Dr. found a cyst(?) in L Kidney

Dear All DS Family, Since last Friday I'd been having a fever on & off, then Monday I began having lower back pain and then yesterday I was in excruciating pain in my abdomen, sides and lower back. I went to the ER, they ran alot of tests, found I had a "slight" UTI and by chance found that I had a 2 centimeter size "cyst"(?) in my left kidney. They said that I must follow up with my regular doctor. I am exhausted of being overweight. Trying hard to save to go to Spain and now more medical problems? Would you all please send up a prayer and good thoughts for me? I may not know you face to face but I feel as if we are all family!

While having a pre-op sonogram they discovered a 5cm. cyst on my right kidney. My PCP said they are common and not to worry about it. Her husband who is a gastroenterologist told me the same thing. Dr. Gagner knew about it and said it was nothing to be concerned about and my surgery went forward. I hope you are as fortunate and that it is nothing serious.
