Guest guest
I have been experiencing back pain on the left side of my back and headache on the same side as well. I just started noticing it about a week ago and was wondering if it might be the sarcoidosis The area you are talking about is where your kidney is-- and the adrenal glands that sit directly above the kidney. (We have 2 kidneys, one on each side and the adrenal gland actually sits up against the kidneys.) You may have a slight kidney infection, or it may be that since you are trying to lower your prednisone, that the adrenal gland (which is the gland that makes cortisol-- our own cortisteriod) is inflammed. A simple urine test will tell if you have a kidney infection. You may even have a kidney stone on that side-- and it will present as pain. So get it checked out. As far as it being sarcoidosis-- ANY organ can be effected by sarcoidosis. So it may be-- it could also be that you have some inflammation around the lung area. Guest guest
Hi Shauna, Yes the pain can be related to the sarc. I have pain from the top of the left side of my brain down to my 3 outside toes. I don’t call them headaches, I call them head pain, the pain is different from a headache, more intense and burns. And I am afraid to tell you that it probably is related to Sarc. I use to get a lot of bone pain, so if your pain if bone related, then getting on MSM is crucial, I take my faithfully every day, even have my husband on it too. I get pain in the scapula area of my back on the other side, and I do get the burning pain on the right side of my head too sometimes. I have weakness (putting it lightly) on both sides the left is worse but the right leg is catching up with the left leg and we are fighting the insurance company for some new drugs. Won’t rattle on, I hope you find this helpful, hang in there, I also find heat helps, other say cold, so I would try and see which helps you. I just started noticing it about a week ago and was wondering if it might be the sarcoidosis. I am on Methylprednisone since Sept. I have had a lot of side effect from it and had to keep adjusting it. I am on it for sacoids in the lungs which is clearing up. The cough I had is gone but I just have been having problems with the back pain and headaches recently. I noticed that the headaches where coming from the meds so that is why we decreased it. I thought maybe I was just tired but my back seems to hurt when I first wake up. I have had quite some problems with back pain. It is not in the lower back but near the shoulder blade and downward. Any insight on what could be going on or if others suffer with this also? If u have any solutions that would be appreciated. Shauna in Atl.
