Guest guest
Hi Sandi. I have a question. I drink the ProScore 100 (Chocolate). It has 130 calories, 23 grams of protein 1 scoop, I think no more than 4 carbs and I think 2 maybe 3 grams of sugar. I also drink the Pure Whey Stack (Chocolate). It has 160 calories, 32 grams of protein in 2 scoops, I think it has about 4 carbs and 2 grams of sugar. I try to get in 4 shakes a day. I use the magic bullet. When I purchased mines a year ago, I got one free so I keep one here at work and the other at home. I use it to mix my shakes. It takes about 10 seconds to mix smooth. I can say the only thing I don't like about it is that it gets a bit of froth on the top and so far, it has not caused me any problems with gas. So I am getting in 110 with just the shakes. I mix them with water. Can you tell me the info for the Pro Complex? I might want to switch to that one because it has more protein in a shake than mines does. Thanks in advance for your help. Guest guest
I have read on other lists, if not this one, that our post-op WLS bodies cannot absorb more than about 30 grams of calories at one time, therefore if a particular drink has 23g of protein I usually use a scoop and a half. If it has 32g, I just use the one. I would be concerned that we could not absorb all 55g from one serving of Pro Complex. If we're not getting the benefit of all 55g, then I look at it as wasted money. I know Kaiser-contracted doctors recommend it, but that is no longer reason enough for me. Also, and this is my personal preference, I mix my protein powder with water only--I don't want/need the extra calories of milk. Regards, Pat -127 Quoting Pamela A Marsh : > > > > > Hi Sandi.
