Guest guest
Hi Becky, It is hard to say how long I had had the histo.........I had not felt well all the winter before and when we came home from FL in April 2006, I just was not well at all......I figured it was a flare up from the Sarc and it actually was, but............I had histo as well and did not know it. I vomited for nearly 2 months, ran a fever, was incredibly tired, chilled, etc. I was put in a local hospital for 10 days and they could not find out what was wrong ---- thought it was just a flare up. Finally, my cardiologist decided whatever was wrong with me was more than they could handle, so they sent me to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where I had 3 incredible Doctors. When I saw the first one for the first time, he talked to me for a while and even before he examined me, he said "I know what is wrong, but I will have to do tests to prove it". He told us then it was histo. He admitted me that day. I had the chills so bad that I could not even talk--- just shook everywhere and throwed up everywhere. I was in critical care for about a month and a half and in therapy for a months and a half......... I was on a ventilator for nearly 10 days and had to learn to talk, walk, eat, etc all over again. When I got off the ventilator, all I could do was move my eyes.......scary! But I survived......My family was GREAT and so were my Doctors! Not to mention all those I had praying for me.
