Stu, That reminds me of the commercial where the guy is full of acupuncture needles and the place starts on fire and the Chinese guy jumps out the window onto a trampaline-thingy the fire department uses. The guy FULL of needles looks down at the tramp with eyes bulging(mind you, he's only in his underwear!) and then looks back at the fire thinking it might be better to stay in the fire....lol. Anyway...let us know how it works. I'd be interested in anything that might lessen the pain. Those rheumys are something else with that poking aren't they. I'd like to turn the tables on them someday and have a few good pokes at them myself! have a great day S.lizzyandstu wrote: Had my appt. with the evil one yesterday, (also known as the Rheumy) she is the most petite lady you ever saw, barely stands to my shoulder, her wrists are about the width of my finger, she speaks with a whisper but dont let that fool you, she KNOWS how to cause PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (screw the exclamation point rules!!!!!!) With one boney little finger she can have a grown man writhing in pain in seconds and whimpering for the rest of the day, and does it all with a smile while telling you that she is helping. Hows that for sadistic???????? AND I PAY FOR THIS????????????????

WHOS THE SUCKER??????? TELL ME MODERN MEDICINE AINT SOME KINDA SHELL GAME!!! Anyway, she besides being a noted Rhuemy locally, is an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, (as you might have guessed she is of Chinese decent,,,,,what a leap!) Now she is saying t hat she thinks although the Embrel might still help and there are other meds still to try acupuncture and possibly herbal meds stand a better chance of helping in the imediate future because of the toxic nature of the drugs that I am taking. I not so sure I disagree, with the solumed and mtx and enbrel and twenty some other meds, there is bound to be some build up, what the hell do I have to loose to try something new as long as it wont integere with what were doing right now anyway? So I think were going to give it a shot. So if someday soon you hear a loud highpitched girly scream echoing across the fruited plain, its probably ole Stu gettin

poked in the butt with a long hot needle by an inscrutable Chinese doctor.........Hows that for a mental image...........

Thanks Stu, now I have some kinda image in my mind... My daughter has a condition called spasmodic torticollis which is a very painful thing to have. It causes all kinds of muscle spasms in her neck and back and she is now trying accupuncture as well. I see some improvement in her level of energy and mood as well as regaining some level of activity around the house. So, try it if you can afford it and see what your results are after a couple of weeks. It beats taking more meds, and if you can take less and feel okay, then, it's worth a shot, right? Now THAT'S a picture I want to see! BTW, there is no rule against !!!!! I was being sarcastic when I scored your rant. It's the *$?#@ that some folks cringe at (the real words, not the symbols). But we have decided that if someone needs to vent with *#!?$ (the real words), just put a profanity warning in the subject line; likewise, anyone posting a particularly strong religious message can also warn others, so that they can just delete the message. A mild cuss word, just like the mild religious references, do not require a warning.

Any questions?

Rose,

That reminds me of a commercial where a girl is on a date and the guy

helps her into the car. She lifts her rear, cuts a loud fart and kind

of smirks. Her date opens his door starts to get in and motions to the

back seat and wants to know if she met Jack and Jill (names made up) who

have come along to double date.

All I remember is the fart but not what product they were selling.

, are you one of THOSE? I used to have women at my clinic who would carry on about getting a shot, but have tattoos all over the place! It's all in the motivation, I guess.
