Personally, I find her website inaccurate, dishonest, and frightening. Sue states that with exercise and diet, everyone can lose weight just like she did. She didn't lose much weight and nobody knows how long she'll keep it off. Heck, we've all tried to diet and had temporary success. We've all tried some kind of exercise program. Doesn't our own personal experience tell us that she is full of baloney? But, then things get worse. Sue finds some old study that says that some old procedure has problems. Well, hot news flash! She then extends the negative from that study to apply to today's procedures. Further, she takes statements out of context and, as frosting on the cake, finds data that she misinterprets. The result is that anyone going there who is considering WLS and who reads her blather for the first time is frightened out of their wits. By the time that you figure out her agenda and what she is doing, you have wasted time, effort, and emotional energy. I haven't unsubscribed because I think that someday I might want to submit myself to some sort of perverse entertainment. If you haven't been to her site, here is a synopsis of all that you will find there: Sue - Weight loss surgery is bad and dangerous. It will make you turn green and then you'll die. Mr. X - Sue, where'd you get that? Sue - I read it. Mr. X - Where Sue - I don't recall right now but I know it's true. I was a candidate for Mensa but I was too good for them and I didn't join. I have read every report about WLS. The doctors aren't telling you the truth. They are just trying to take your money and kill you. If they published the truth they wouldn't have any business for their WLS mills. Mr. X - Justify what you say. It seems that the less information that you can quote, the stronger your point becomes. That is absurd. Sue - My brother is a doctor. At Thanksgiving last year we all got together and he told me how dangerous WLS is. Mr. X - What kind of doctor is you brother? Sue - He is an excellent doctor. How can you challenge me. You are ungrateful. I am here to save you. Mr. X. - Sue, that's dumb. I still want to know what kind of doctor he is. Sue - He is just a doctor, that's all. How can you call me stupid. I'm qualified to be a member of Mensa? I am just trying to help. How can people keep attacking someone who is trying to help them. Mr. X - Mensa means dumbass woman in Spanish. Sue- How can you attack me that way. I am trying to save the world with this website and I only get abuse. Now you've made me feel depressed. I will go on, though, because this is my calling, you ungrateful bas%a#d. And, folks, there you have it.
