I am very sorry about the rough time you are having. I too have

about the same relationship with my father and have thought numerous

times about this same issue. I hope that you are okay and knowing we

are here for you helps.

So sorry to hear about the troubles you're having right now. Car troubles, on top of everything else, can really make life crazy. I'm especially sympathetic about your situation with your dad. I know when I hear about my Dad, I'm in for some real bad feelings. I haven't seen him since 1984, and it's gonna hurt like hell to know that relationship is gone for good. At least your kids got to meet your Dad and have some knowledge of him. I hope you can find some comfort in the small, positive things you had.

I am going to be brief,,and will update y'all on Logan's check up and PT eval later. I just wanted y'all to know that I got Logan fitted for his wheelchair,,and it was very emotional,,and a hard thing to do. But he is happy and is looking forward to getting it.

Also,,I went off the road last week,,and hit a culvert,,and apparntly,,I damaged the frame,on the van. I thought I just needed an alignment,,but NOOOO I had to damage the frame. The van is paid off,,,but it will be about $1000 to get it fixed. I,of course don't have that,,so I don't know what we will do.

And last and by far the worst thing,,,I got a call on Sunday night that my dad had a heart attack (he has congestive heart failure) and that he had died. I am not really very close to my dad,we only talk a few times a year,,but he is still my dad,,,and I am shocked and very upset . I am surprised at my emotions,,as I didn't think I would really be that upset,,,but it is very strange to not have a dad.He left my mom,when I was 12,,and pretty much dumped us kids. In the past few years,he has been calling,,but I am ashamed to say,,I haven't been answering the phone very much. I felt like, he wasn't there when I needed him,,,why should I be there for him? Boy I regret that. I don't know when the funeral will be,,and they live about 4 hours from us,,and now I have no van ! My mother in law is going to go with us,,so she will drive,,but it is just so much to try to figure out right now.

I could REALLY use your prayers right now. The kids took the news ok,(they did know him,,since we saw him and his new wife every year at Christmas),Meaghan was the most upset and has cried alot. Logan (in his typical autistic/literal way) just said " Man,,I'm gonna miss him " and went on about his day ! LOL It sure made things lighter,,and made me thank God,again,,for giving me this very nonchalant boy

I hope y'all realize how much I love you,,and how much I value your friendship..it reminds me of a Garth song,,called "The Dance " It is talking about how we could miss the pain,of life,,but if we do,,then we also miss the dance. And I think about how,,if Logan never had the physical problems that he has,,,I never would have met y'all,,and my life has been made so much more complete having known y'all.
