Guest guest
Hi Everyone. Well, we are not long removed from a week in the hospital. Just when I thought things were settling down we were right back to town and admitted for 6 days. In the experience we learned that Abigail is showing signs of her heart thickening, though it is functioning normally. We also had yet another conductivity test that was perfectly normal. The most shocking thing was that we actually had the muscle biopsy. This was not planned, fell into our laps and was coordinated within 24 hours. The surgion noted that Abigail's muscle tissue had the appearence of disease as it was pale. Abigail is doing well, though she is still not back to where she was before the Christmas episode. However, we are home and her spirits are much improved. So, we wait. Through this visit I was strong and capable. Though I really had no choice in the matter. I however confessed to Abigail's doctor that I may not be as strong when we hear the results...or the lack there of. Right now, I am just going to enjoy the fact that we are home...and our lives apear a bit more normal this week. Hugs to Everyone! Guest guest
Myst, I am so sorry that Abigail had a hard time but it is good news that you were able to get the biopsy-a true miracle that it went so smoothly. Good for you being so strong. Waiting is the hardest part. You will come through when the results are here, because you will have to be. That's what we do! Strong for our children, but it is good that you can come here and to her docs to let you emotions show. Being strong all of the time is very tiring. glad you are home and Abigails spirits are up! Hopefully you can catch up on some much needed rest too. Dawn
