Guest guest
Go ahead, decorate them! They'll only last a week or so anyhow so have fun! Why not make cf enjoyable and colorful and hey, you can't hide the casts so why not show them to the world with pride? s. painting casts? I am wanting to decorate a set of Mollie's casts and was wondering if anyone has done this and what was the result? I thought about using craft paint, but am worried it might flake off or rub off and make a big mess everwhere. I also wondered about markers (sharpies maybe) but again, they may rub off on clothes and stuff. Any ideas would be appreciated. Guest guest
Sharpies work great. They dry in a matter of about a minute and it doesnt rub off at all. marci21175 wrote:I am wanting to decorate a set of Mollie's casts and was wondering if anyone has done this and what was the result? Guest guest
We let Hannah (who was 2 1/2 at the time) decorate all of Jonah's casts. Crayons work well. And sharpies are great. Have fun! And if you get the chance, post us some pictures on CFPics. Guest guest
We used Sharpies to decorate Aleksander's first set of casts. He got them on right before Christmas so the entire family helped. We didn't get the markers anywhere but on his casts. > I am wanting to decorate a set of Mollie's casts and was wondering if > anyone has done this and what was the result? Guest guest
Agreed. Our favorite cast was our " Holstein cow " cast. (my kid's idea, in honor of grampa's cows). Have fun. painting casts? I am wanting to decorate a set of Mollie's casts and was wondering if anyone has done this and what was the result? Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the input. I know what I'll be doing this weekend!! My brother wants to draw flames on her, guess I'll be buying red, yellow, and orange markers. Marci Mollie 5-25-05 bcf, 3rd casts by Dobbs > Agreed. Our favorite cast was our " Holstein cow " cast. Guest guest
I say...get thee to Walmart & buy every color Sharpie they have!! That's what we did! For her post-tenotomy cast, I made the small blood mark a red polka dot, and dotted the rest of the cast, then glued sequins all over!! Have fun! > > Agreed.
