Doctors who lie and say they use the method!

I am so angry right now! My insurance company Aetna already said we

have permission, etc to goto Dr. Ponseti in Iowa. Now there is some

lady there reseaching it saying we should be denied because there are

doctors in my area that do the ponseti method. She told my peds.

office that 2 doctors in Philadelphia, PA at CHOPS and 1 doctor at St.

's in PA use the method...AND THEY DON " T!! I just don't

get the insurance company! I called and left her a message that if

they say they do they probably are lying or do there own variation

just like Collin's dr. did at Dupont when he was little. He told me

several times he uses the Ponseti method and so did the residents,

etc. I just don't understand why these doctors don't fess up and say

I do my own variation of the ponseti method but I am not listed as a

qualifed ponseti doctor, etc... She supposedly called both hospitals

and they said yes and gave her appoinments dates we could go to. I'm

even angrier because I was already told it was fine for us to go, now

I find out that this lady is trying to get us denied. Ok, I'll stop

with the angry vent for now...but it feels a bit better to get it out.
