Hi Joyce, Thanks for writing to me. I don't cook very well so I have

been eating nothing but yogurt, unsweeted applesauce, some awful

sugarless pudding, and Trader Joe's soups. I don't eat cottage cheese

yet. It is boring and tiresome but I'm not really hungry. Sometimes I

am scared when someone cooks something or eats something really good.

I covet it and want it. I would not eat it but I am sure it will

happen many times before I am through. You sound sooooo healthy

compared to me. Only today I have less pain. I am full of gas and that

hurts. I have these repaired hernias remember so I am trying to be

more toleratnt of myself. Everyday I feel better. I am impressed that

your are doing so many things already. I like your idea about the

calcium. YUK. I have to go now. Love, Lilka

Lilka,

At the Santa Clara meeting on Wednesday, we had a baby shower for Beth

(SSF nutritionist who runs the meetings) and someone gave her a food

mill for making baby food from " real " food. Several folks, including

Beth, commented that once you're on the " soft food " stage, that would

be really handy for pureeing almost anything to an edible consitency -

even things like chicken or chili. You might want to consider it when

you get to the appropriate stage. The person who gave her the mill

said she got it at Baby's 'R' Us.
