Guest guest
Ken, what is the issue with these surgeons? Are they saying that this is not their area of expertise, or they just don't think it's necessary, or what? I don't remember where you live, but several years ago a NS specialist I saw in Atlanta mentioned a possible nerve biopsy, but I would have to go to s Hopkins in Baltimore. He believed I needed treatment anyway, so didn't think the biopsy was needed at that time. Guest guest
Hi rose, I don't know what the issue is, this new neurologist is confident that sarcoid is in my muscles and pretty confident that due to the brain atrophe that vasculitis is playing a part in all this, therefore the sural nerve in the leg should be biopsied for diagnosis of vasculitis. I do finaly have a surgeon in usc in la that i have an appt with oct 16 they said he could definitely biopsy the muscles, but he would have to see me for the nerve, but said it is probable. so hopefully this surgeon can do both and i can get on with each specific treatment that is needed. thanks for answering my email god bless!!!! kenRose wrote: Ken, what is the issue with these surgeons?
