Guest guest
Yesterday as I was getting ready to go to the CIF individual seeding tournament....I tried in a pair of size 22 jeans....I pulled them off without unzipping or unbuttoning!!!! I was firmly in 24's before surgery! I wore them because I am still swollen around the middle, and 8 hours of sitting on bleachers in a gym requires all the comfort one can figure to bring from home. Last night I wore size 2X capris to dinner and they were swimming! Today Randy and I met some friends at 6 Flags Magic Mountain, I wore size XL pullup denim capris, and a 22 button up blouse!!!!! We walked from 11 am till 6 pm closing (of course I did wear my spring z-coil shoes!) No huffing and puffing at all!!!!!! The blouse was loose because I am still self conscious about my tummy, its sagging down and so I wanted to make sure it was concealed. But coolest of all..... Randy and I rode on the log jammer, the colossus, and of course (my favorite!!) Tha carousel together and had so much fun!!!! We felt like regular people!!!! Now roller coasters are not my favrite thing, so this was HUGE!!!! Before WE were too huge to fit, it was like dating all over again!!!! I've felt great but been a little bummed because the POUNDS aren't seeming to come off, but apparently the inches are!!!! 30 pounds since orientation, 15 since january 3rd surgery. Randy has lost over 120!!!! Hugs to all and a smiley good night!!!! Sue in Palmdale

Guest guest
Sue: This is FANTASTIC!!!! I remember my first time in an amusement park post-op. There is this ride at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk that is a pendulum that swings your back and forth (BIG, BIG swings) while you're spun around. It's a thrilling ride and I FIT! I was so happy, screaming with laughter, fear and excitement (and enjoying the screams of the young girls who can REALLY scream), that I was just like all the teenagers. After the ride was over, I ran to the line again (there weren't too many people there) and I rode the ride 4 times in a row. What a kid! And I was 41 at the time. I'm so glad you had this wonderful time. It really does make all the sacrifices worth it. There is no food that tastes as wonderful as the joy of being like a kid again. Guest guest
Sue Sometimes there is more inches and not so many pounds, and other times the pounds really go. It took 3 weeks for me just to get off the weight I put on in the hospital, then it was 2 pounds a week for 3 more weeks, finally then the weight really started coming off. By this time I had really increased my exercise and I know this made a big difference. Hang in there. Take care. Guest guest
You go girl! I can't wait for those little milestones too. I have gone back to an old pair of pants to wear around the house due to my swollen tummy. I know that will go down but when? My family keeps teeling me to remember it has only been 6 days. I guess I don't have as much patience as I thought I did. > > Yesterday as I was getting ready to go to the CIF individual seeding > tournament....I tried in a pair of size 22 jeans....I pulled them > off without unzipping or unbuttoning!!!!
