Guest guest
Do you want to go to the Oakland meeting on 2/1 to hear the plastic surgeon doctor? I don't know my way past Concord, I'm bad. Do you think you can go? Barbara how about you, want to go? At least if we get lost we won't be alone! Also isn't are ez meeting the 4 Monday of each month? So it will be Jan. 23rd not the 30th like Gordy, Barbara and I mentioned. Will you be able to attend since you're back in College? Let me know. Take Care. Stay on track. Have a great day. Guest guest
It's not my best photo, but it'll do for now. I really have enjoyed looking through all the photos of everyone, and you're absolutely right... it's nice to have an image to associate with each post. They're always better than what one can imagine in one's mind. Ron Re: I uploaded my "before" photo. Nice to put a face with a friend!!! Guest guest
Hubba Hubba? hehehe you're cute! But... I've really been struggling lately. I just cannot break the 462 barrier. I go up a pound or two and lose it, but I just cannot get below 462. I've been watching my intake, drinking a LOT of water daily, and been walking my a$$ off... or so I would like to think, but the scale says differnt. I walked to work again on Tuesday and Thursday. Today is cab day because I'm taking in a case of water so I can stop carrying it in daily. This way, my work bag will be lighter and I won't have as much to carry when I walk to work. It's approximately 5 blocks to work (with a lot of uneven sidewalks and some nonexistant sidewalks) and I can walk it right now in about 22 minutes. That's already 5 minutes shorter than the first day I did it. I'm just tired of this damned plateau I'm on... Maybe one day soon I'll wake up and see the weight has suddenaly dropped off and I weigh only 455... (Hey, it's a safe dream) Ron Re: Re: I uploaded my "before" photo. Ron, there you are! Guest guest
Ron: Don't give up. I know that the weight loss seems to go at a snail's pace from time to time, but if you stay true to your plan, and keep making those healthy choices, the weight will come off. Keep saying positive things to yourself because our minds can be awefully self-sabatoging when we let it go on auto-pilot. Take the controls of the plane (so to speak) and keep heading in the right direction. You can do this. You really can. Francisco > It's not my best photo, but it'll do for now. Guest guest
Hey there Hubba Hubba Man oh i so like that knick name, can we call you that ? I think you are too hard on yourself, its the disease of impatience I think that is hitting, you we all get it , i think we all have it , i think sometimes it is dorminat in our systems and then sometimes becomes active again and consumes us. You are trying so hard and really working at your goal and you are so positive in so many ways. I know it is hard now, and its not to say that things wont be hard down the road but once you get to the goal and get to have surgery for the tool, things will go fast for you for awhile and then you will feel like you do now, where things slow down after that honeymoon period, but hopefully when that time arrives you will have learned skills and patience virtues as other tools to help you. We all are happy for you that your coming along as nicely as you are and you are still positive and sticking with the plan, and we all know that it is a hard thing to do. You rock ! Guest guest
Thanks Francisco. You're absolutely right and I know that. I just need to vent sometimes and it's nice to vent where people understand and support me. After losing 67 pounds so far, I will not be giving up. It's even easier to keep going after seeing all the photos of everyone here. To see how much healthier and happier people look after surgery is a real motivator to me. Guest guest
It does happen that way, you know. You stick at a weight and then whammo, suddenly it all goes down in a quick downturn. So, there is a good chance of that...keep it up!! Don't lose heart...it's just your body saying, "Whoa Nelly! What's going on here? Man all the fat cell stations boys!!" Sooner or later, you'll win, and once you break through the barrier, it will zip by. Good luck!RobynnBBQ Man wrote: Hubba Hubba? hehehe you're cute! But... I've really been struggling lately.
