Guest guest
, There are quite a few families on this board who use Dr. Colburn, and he comes very highly recommended by Dr. Ponseti. Dr. C was one of the original doctors on Dr. Ponseti's qualified physicians list and has many years of experience with the method. Although I don't have personal experience with him, from all that I've read about him over the past 5+ years, your daughter will be in excellent hands. It sounds like he's got an excellent personality and bedside manner as well. Please keep us posted! Guest guest
, is is in the best of hands with Dr Colburn. He is a wonderful doctor. We live on the North Coast of CA (Eureka/Arcata area) and our son, Jonah, is treated by Drs Boakes and Lerman at the Shriner's Hospital in Sacramento. I don't know of any clubfoot support groups in the SF Bay area. If I lived any closer, I'd start one up. Dr Colburn's office may keep a list of patients who are interested in meeting up with other families. I do know that a number of his local patients (people travel from all over the state to have him treat their children) are members here, so hopefully some will chime in. We wish you much success! Guest guest
Hi - I live in Southern California and have traveled for 3 1/2 years up North to see Dr. Colburn for my son's unilateral club foot. He is fabulous and follows the Ponseti Method to a " T " . Dr. P used to come out to see Dr. Colburn's patients once a year and then we would get a meeting room and all meet after the appt. However, Dr. P said this year he wouldn't be doing that kind of travel anymore. I always post on the board here before my appt to see if anyone else has an appt on the same day and try and meet people that way. You're child is in good hands with Dr. C! > Hi, > I have a daughter, is, 4 months, who was treated for bilateral > club feet from 2 weeks after birth by a Ponseti recommended doctor > [from the website] in London, Dr. Alison Hulme at Chelsea > Westminster Hospital.
