thank you for responding ! and Congrats on your success post-op. It is

inspring for me to read how satisified..many DS patients are with their

results.

My insurance company is Blue Cross/Blue Shield - Health Options...they are a

HMO.

I did find a wonderful surgeon in Altamonte Springs ( near Orlando)...but he

is no longer in my insurance network....

At that point I was considering RNY. so maybe it is a blessing , that he did

not work out for me!

now, that I am sure

DS is the best option for me.

I did hear from other WLS post-ops who have the same insurance....that the

insurance company is reluctant to

authorize out of network procedures. I am hoping I can make case for going

out of network....since it seems,

that DS is not being performed in Florida.

Thank you for suggesting Dr. and the Life Shape Clinic in MS. I will

discuss it with my new PCP...I have an

appoinment in two weeks.

Going out of state may be my only hope...but it does present some challenges

for me and my husband.

He just started a new job....and it may be diffcult for him to take off more

than 2 days. So we will have to work out something. I am nervous about

having this surgery ...... alone ( my friends and family live in the

North!) but I will do what I have to..

to have this surgery !

I do appreciate all the encouragement ,support and information I have

received from this group. It helps alot !
