I think I would be talking to the docter about increasing your dosage back up so you don't end up on Pred. if the symptoms are coming back, then the dose you are on is not holding it, so call your doctor right away, as with me and many others I know when symptoms come back then can be worse then before, so call today, I will keep positive thoughts for you today, Marla

I would like to throw this out to see any comments. I have been off Prednisone since January

1, 2008, and have halved my Immuran dosage per doctor's instructions since the first part of

February, 2008. The lesions on my elbow that diagnosed my sarcoidosis in the first place

have swelled back up, I am having trouble catching my breath and the stinging, burning pain

in my back, which diagnosed the neurosarcoidosis per spinal tap is coming back. I can't

believe I am already having these symptoms again. If anyone has any suggestions, comments

or diagnosis, I would appreciate it. I am so afraid of having to go back on Prednisone.

I'm with Marla too. Sounds like a flare-up. You may need to go on

Prednisone for a few days then a quick taper-off. If the Prednisone

works then a flare-up is confirmed. Hopefully you will only need to be

on the steroids for a week or so, then a quick taper. I've heard quick

tapers normally work, although I haven't been able to. Good luck.

Don't wait too long to see the doc. -
