Guest guest
Lilka and Cathy: I was pretty sure that I'd meet Cathy because I knew she was going, but Lilka, what a complete and wonderful surprise. You know Lilka, I must agree that I love having fun with food. I remember the first solid foods as a post-op, and they were just wonderful. Like you, I savor every tiny morsel to mindfully enjoy what I'm eating. Somehow, the enjoyment of the food helps to satisfy me more than eating a large quantity. Congratulations on moving to solid foods! May it always bring you pleasure as you not only savor the food, but your new life! Cathy: It was great seeing you and connecting a face to the emails. I think we all are so lucky to have Gity's guidance in this journey. She is so wise and gets to the issues like no other psychologist I've worked with. She's never been morbidly obese, but somehow she speaks to us as if she were. Anyway, I'm so glad I went to the support group meeting. I get so much from Gity and the support group members.
