Thank you everyone,

I talked to Will's Dr on Mon and he said do whatever we have to do to

make things better. I just talked Apria and we are going to trial the

M6 tanks (wine bottle) with a backpack to see if that works. I asked

about both the Helios and a homefill set--up and the person I talked to

said that Will was too young. Something to do with being able to

coordinate his breathing right to make the valve deliver the O2. So

we'll see what happens. He is such a different kid when he's on the O2

we just want to give him some freedom along with it.

Thank you all for your response and help,

Hi ,

That's the way we described Collin after using the O2, he was

better all around, so it has been a journey to find his freedom

while using the O2. Best Wishes, Joni

You don't have to be able to coordinate your breathing with Helios, or liquid

oxygen. You should not have to with the Homefill either---unless it has a

conserver. You would have to with a conserver. I believe that Homefill is

similar to our concentrator. Easy, less messy than all those stupid tanks. I do

like liquid oxygen much better than a regular concentrator if you use it all

the

time. You can fill the tanks at home. Our is six and has had liquid

oxygen on and off--starting at about three, I believe. No way I would want to

have to deal with all the tanks as my only delivery system.

Maybe you can talk to the Apria people again and tell them that you're

interested in a system that does not require a conserver. Do you have a pulse

ox at home so you can check his sats? If his sats go down, it is dangerous for

him to be without oxygen.
