Guest guest
Hi - I am to be switched on 8/23 and my surgeon is taking my gall bladder too. It has not been checked for disease or stones but she feels this is best for all WLS patients because going back in to remove it is more trouble than it's worth. Based on what you wrote, should I ask about leaving my gall bladder in ? Will I excrete an excess of bile and have excessive nausea or worse ? I know you aren't a doctor and I will ask the pros, but if anyone can shed some light on the differences in keeping or removing the gall bladder I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. I agree that I DONT want to undergo sugery again after my switch so I'm sure it's best to do it all at once. Thanks for the .02 Sharon M in NY --- ayasud@... wrote: > Sharon- > > I know this post was directed at but I want to > stick in my .02. > I had my gall bladder out after losing about 70 lbs > while living in > Europe. Guest guest
Just another 2-cents: I had my gallbladder out 17 years ago...haven't missed it, didn't notice any difference after it was gone. Best, Belinda
